Haven't written for days again, but right now I just feel that this blog is not my priority and unfortunately I don't feel like writing much :( But I know that it will change soon :) There are some good news, I did some new jewelry today :) As it was so cold outside, I decided to take a day off and just sleep and do some handicraft. Anyways, I did 4 pairs of earrings and here they are :)

Pole jälle mõnda aega siia kirjutanud, pole nagu tahtmist midagi kirjutada ja kahjuks pole se blogi ka mu prioriteet number 1 hetkel. Aga küll see jälle varti muutub :) Tegelikult on häid uudiseid ka ikka. Kuna väljas on meeletult külm, siis otsustasin võtta vaba päeva, et lihtsalt magada ja tegeleda käsitööga. Niisiis tegingi täna mõned uued ehted. Nimelt valmis 4 paari uusi kõrvarõngaid :)

DIY: Studded clutch

I have been meaning to do this DIY for ages but I was waiting for the studs that my aunt ordered me from eBay. These finally arrived :) So, now I'm able to show you my newest creation.

Mul on juba mõnda aega olnud plaanis teha see DIY projekt, aga kõik takerdus vaid pisikeste detailide - neetide taha. Tädi tellis need juba üsna ammu eBayst ja nüüd lõpuks jõudsid need minuni. Nüüd siis saangi näidata teile mu kõige viimast isetegemist ja jagada selle tekkelugu ka teiega :) Aga kõigepealt mõned pildid, kust inspiratsiooni ammutasin.

Now to the tutorial :)

What you need for this project:

1. Faux leather. You can use real one if you want.
2. Simple fabric for the lining
3. Zipper
4. Scissors
5. Studs
6. Grippers for the studs
7. Sewing machine would be helpful as well, but if you are really handy, you'll manage with needle and thread :)

1. Kunstnahka. Võid ka kasutada päris nahka, kui soovid.
2. Lihtsat riiet voodri tegemiseks
3. Lukku
4. Kääre
5. Neete
6. Tange neetide kinnitamiseks
7. Õmblusmasinast oleks samuti väga palju abi. Aga kui oled väga osav õmbleja, siis saad hakkama ka lihtsalt niidi ja nõelaga.

Step 1

Decide on the size of your clutch and lay on the fabric. Then cut it out. Don't forget to add some extra part for the sewing.

Vali enda kotile suurus ja kanna mõõdud kangale. Ära unusta lisamast õmblusvaru. Seejärel lõika see välja.

Step 2

Take the fabric that you want to use for the lining. Measure the same size that you used for the bag.

Võta riie, millest soovid teha voodri. Kanna mõõdud riidele ja lõika välja. Vooder peaks olema sama suurusega, millega kottki.

Step 3

Sew the sides of the faux leather.

Õmble koti kaks äärt kinni ja seo niidiotsad.

Step 4

Repeat the last step with the lining and sew the two edges.

Korda eelmist sammu ja õmble ka voodri ääred.

Step 5

Now it's time to attach the zipper. I didn't do any photos of the process but I found this great tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNboJNZ88ro

Nüüd on aeg lisada kotile lukk. Ma ei teinud eraldi pilte luku õmblemisest, küll aga leidsin hea õpetuse. Vt link ⥣

Step 6

Before attaching the lining, add the studs. I used golden kidney shaped studs, but you can use any kind of studs. You can also use whatever pattern you desire.

Enne voodri lisamist kinnita kotile needid. See on vajalik enne voodri lisamist selleks, et neediotsad ei hakkaks hiljem kotis asju kraapima. Mina kasutasin kuldseid neerukujulisi neete, kuid kasutada võib ükskõik, milliseid neete. See, kuidas needid paigutada, on enda valik.

Step 7

Add the studs until you have got the pattern you desired.

Lisa neete kuni saad mustri, mille valisid.

Step 9

Now add the lining. To do that place the lining into the bag, right sides up against. Sew most of the edges and leave an opening about 4-5 cm wide. Now pull the leather through the opening and then push the lining through the opening. Then hand stitch the opening. And you're done!

Nüüd õmble külge vooder. Selleks pead panema voodi koti sisse nii, et paremad pooled jäävad kokku. Õmble vooder koti külge, kuid ära õmble päris lõpuni. Jäta umbes 4-5 cm suurune ava. Nüüd tõmba nahast kott läbi avause ja seejärel pööra ümber vooder. Voodri ja koti vahele jäänud avaus õmble käsitsi kinni. Ja ongi valmis!

Almost sick day

When I woke up this morning, I felt quite bad. Sore throat and no air through my nose. So, I decided to take a sick day which means that usually I do nothing. I spend all day in my pyjamas watching movies and drinking tea. This time it was different. Even though I felt like crap, I actually did something that I haven't done for quite some time - handicraft and in specific, jewelry. Spent almost 3 hours doing it :) And the rest of the day i spend cleaning and sorting my things through. I like to do it once in a while, gives me a good feeling like everything is clean and in order. But back to the jewelry :)

DIY: Studded bag

Haven't written for a while - holidays, new years eve, there has been so much to be done. But I also have felt that I need to take a little break, otherwise the blog gets too boring :) Anyways, I decided to show you a bag that I altered. It is made in the same technique that I used here: DIY: Studded shoes . But this time I used black bag and neon pink puffy paint. And I thought that as I have described the steps before, I just show you pictures without the talk :)

As promised, some new jewelry. Unfortunately this time these are not for sale. These first ones I made for myself as these are really light and I can't wear any heavy jewelry. Post without handicraft

Christmas is almost here, school is almost over. Everything is just perfect. Today was THE last physics lesson - never again. It is actually a bit sad even because I will never be in this lesson again and I will never have a lesson with this teacher. Physics has never been my favourite lesson but today I realized how much I appreciate this teacher and that makes me sad :( Anyways, next week is mostly fun stuff at school - few lessons to summarize the courses, then a photo hunt, compulsory cinema visiting, basketball tournament and traditional Christmas divine liturgy. And then it is CHRISTMAS! Can't wait! I hope that there will be a little snow otherwise it will be a bit depressing. Actually, I did some Christmas shopping today after school. Hope that this year everybody enjoy their presents :) I really put effort into those.

Anyways, enough with the talk, just few pictures to describe my day :)

DIY: Studded cross shirt

Hei!

Haven't written here for several days now. I got so used to writing here when I did this challenge that now it feels out of place to not write here so often. But we'll see, maybe I will find another challenge :)
Anyways, did this quite simple DIY the other day. Got my inspiration from here:

Pole juba mitu päeva siia kirjutanud. Harjusin nii ära selle igapäevase postitamisega, kui väljakutset täitsin, et nüüd on kohe kuidagi imelik mitte nii tihti kirjutada. Aga elame, näeme, ehk leian mõne uue väljakutse :) Igatahes, tegin mõni päev tagasi ühe lihtsa särgi ja mõtlesin, et jagaks seda teiega ka. Inspiratsiooni sain siit:

But I didn't want to just paint a cross over my shirt. So, I combined cross and studs and did my own version :)

Aga ma ei tahtnud lihtsalt ühte suurt risti pluusile joonistada. Niisiis kombineerisin risti ja needid ja tegin enda versiooni nendest särkidest :)

What you need for this DIY:

1. Shirt that want to alter
2. Studs - I needed about 70 of them
3. Grippers

1. Pluus, mida soovid kaunistada
2. Needid - mul läks neid umbes 70
3. Tangid

Step 1:

Decide on the pattern you want to use, its size and find a place for it on the shirt. Then start attaching the studs one by one. If necessary, measures the distance between two studs using a ruler. Keep doing it until you have accomplished the pattern you chose.

Vali muster, mida soovid kasutada, selle suurus ja asukoht, kuhu see paigutada. Seejärel alusta neetide kinnitamist ükshaaval. Suru neet läbi riide ning kasutades tange suru kokku neetide kinnitusnagad. Kui vaja, mõõda neetide vahelist kaugust joonlaua abil. Jätka neetide kinnitamist kuni oled saanud sobiva mustri. Ja valmis sa oledki!

And ready you are!

Do make my shirt look even more different, then I didn't make the cross straight, but a bit aslant.

Tahtsin enda särki natuke veel omapärasemaks muuta ja seega ei teinud risti päris sirget, vaid kergelt kaldus.

DIY: Washer bracelet

Recently fashion has become even more inventive than before. Everything can be used to make clothes or jewelry. I have seen lots and lots of jewelry made of building materials. So, I got a bit inspired as well and decided to do my version.

Viimasel ajal on moetööstus muutunud tõeliselt loovaks. Riiete ja ehete tegemiseks kasutatakse absoluutselt kõike. Olen näinud päris palju erinevaid ehteid, mille tegemisel on kasutatud ehitusmaterjale. Just need ehted andsid mulle inspiratiooni, et teha enda versioon ehtest.

Supplies:

1. Washers
2. Ribbon - I used an extra shoe lace what I got with new sneakers and otherwise I would have just thrown these away but now I could do sort of reusing :)

1. Seibid
2. Pael - mina kasutasin tossudega kaasa saadud lisapaelu, millele muidu kasutust ei leidnud, nii sain ka omamoodi taaskasutust teha.

Step 1:

Pull the ribbon through the first washer.

Pane pael läbi esimese seibi.

Step 2:

Now put the ribbon though the second washer and make sure that the ribbon comes from under the first washer and then goes though the second washer from top.

Pane pael läbi teise seibi. Vaata, et pael tuleks läbi esimese seibi alt ja läheks läbi teise seibi ülevalt.

Step 3:

Now pull the ribbon though the first washer again.

Nüüd pane pael uuesti läbi esimese seibi.

Step 4:

Pull the ribbon though the second washer again.

Pane pael läbi teise seibi uuesti.

Step 5:

If you have done all the steps right and tightened the ribbon, then it should look like this.

Kui sa oled kõik sammud õigesti teinud ja paela pingule tõmmanud, siis peaks see välja nägema selline.

Step 6:

Now continue the work and repeat the steps from 2 to 5 until you have gained the length you desire.

Jätka tööd ja korda samme 2-6 kuni oled saavutanud soovitava pikkuse.

Step 7:

When you're ready, just wrap the bracelet around your wrist and finish it with a bow. Ready you are! If you are using just regular ribbon, then of course trim the ends and finish with a tip of glue or transparent nail polish so that the ribbon wouldn't start to diverge. You can use the same technique to make a necklace or a belt.

Kui oled valmis, pane käevõru käele ja kinnita lipsuga. Kui kasutad tavalist paela, siis vajadusel lõika otsad lühemaks ning tee otsad kergelt liimi või läbipaistva küünelakiga üle, et pael hargnema ei hakka. Sama tehnikat võid kasutada ka kaelakee või vöö tegemisel.

Things that I only wear in summer are probably bikinis and sandals. So, here are the sandals I bought in September, when I visited Denmark. Got those from H&M with a discount price. As I bought those in September, then I haven't been able to wear them yet, but hopefully summer comes fast :)

DIY: Studded shoes

I love those studded vases and ceramics, these always make me want to touch those. I'm a huge fan of high relief art. So, this obviously is inspirational for me and I decided to use this technique in fashion. So, I studded my shoes and to share the process with you, so here is another DIY project!

Mulle hullult meeldivad igasugused reljeefsed keraamilised nõud. Just need nö muhklikud :) Just selline kunst inspireeriski mind tegema ühte DIY projekti ja jagada protsessi teiega :) Niisiis, tegin endale nö muhklikud kingad :)

What do you need for this DIY:

1. Shoes, you want to alter
2. Puffy paint
3. In my case, scissors as well

1. Kingi, mida tahad uuendada
2. 3D värvi - mina kasutasin valget värvi firmalt Tulip
3. Minu kingade puhul olid vajalikud ka käärid

Step 1:

Use scissors to cut the thread that holds the bow on the shoe.

Kasuta kääre, et harutada lahti kingadel olevad lipsud.

Step 2:

Take the puffy paint and roil the tube to make sure that the paint is smooth. Start speckling the shoes. I followed the pattern of the shoes but you can do whatever pattern you like.

Võta värv ja loksuta tuubi, et veenduda värvi ühtluses. Alusta kingade täpitamist. Selleks, et värv jääks reljeefne, ära vajuta tuubiotsa päris vastu kinga, vaid pigistamise lõpetades tõmba otsa kergelt ülespoole.

Step 3:

Continue speckling until the you have done the toe part.

Jätka täpitamist kuni kinganina on tehtud.

Step 4:

Now do the same with the back of the shoes.

Nüüd tee sama kinga tagumise osaga.

And you're ready!! Now you just have to let the paint dry. Follow the directions on the bottle. I let paint dry for 12 hours and that was enough.

Ja ongi valmis! Nüüd pead laskma värvil veel kuivada. Järgi pakendil märgitud aega. Mina lasin värvil kuivada umbes 12 tundi ja see oli piisav.

A ring with wings

Haven't done any jewelry for quite some time already, somehow don't feel like it. But I'm working on getting back the feeling of making jewelry :) Still, I made this ring with those huge angel wings. It is a sort of DIY project and also reuse as I used wing from a Christmas angel that broke. Anyways, here it is...

Pole juba päris pikka aega ehteid teinud, isu on kuidagi ära kadunud. Aga ma töötan selle kallal, et see isu tagasi saada :) Aga siiski, tegin ühe suurte inglitiibadega sõrmuse. Omamoodi on DIY project ja ka taaskasutus, sest tiivad on saadud jõuluinglilt, mis katki läks. Win win igatahes :D

Okay, a picture of my jewelry box. I got it from my aunt, when I was about 14 years old. She brought it from USA when she was studying there, so it is quite old already. It has a special skill as it is also a musical box and when you open the second drawer, music starts to play :) I also like that it has a mirror. Most of the jewelry boxes are just boxes, but this is special. And as I said already before, I hold my silver jewelry in there because I don't wear it that often. Only one silver ring is a piece that wear almost every day.

I have lots of jewelry but I wear only some of them. I will show you the ones that I actually wear. These hang on my mannequins. I mostly wear rings and earrings, rarely bracelets and necklaces. I also have a jewelry box, where I hold most of my silver jewelry but the picture of that is for day 20, so you'll see this tomorrow :)

It was really hard to find a picture of me wearing matching clothes with somebody. I have had same clothes with one of my best friends but I haven't got any pictures of us wearing those at the same time. So I figured that 1st September would count :) I'm the blonde one of course and the brunette is a friend of mine. We went together to kindergarden already and now we have been to same school and class together for 11 years (in the 1st grade we went to different schools as the time we started our studies in TEC, there wasn't 1st grade in the school.)

So, today I will show you a cute outfit of mine. I don't consider myself very cute therefore I don't think I have many cute clothes but I think that this dress is cute enough :) I wear it mostly in the summer with flats but this is the winter or spring combination :)

I'm wearing regular black tights. I prefer those that are as dark as leggings, so that the skin is hidden. The dress is by H&M. Love those ruffles :) And the jacket is by Reserved.

Outfit: DIY faux fur vest

Promised to show you the vest I made using the tutorial I found from the site P.S - I made this.
Mine is a bit different - first I chose greyish black faux fur as I feel more comfortable in this colour. Second, I decided to leave the bottom edge uncut, so that the corners are still left. Anyways, I really like it :)

Lubasin teile näidata kunstkarusnahast vesti, mille tegin ühe õpetuse järgi. Minu oma on õpetuses näidatust veidi erinev. Esiteks tegin enda oma hallikas-musta, sest mulle sobib see värv rohkem. Teiseks, otsustasin jätta alumise ääre kumeraks lõikamata ning säilitasin alumised nurgad. Jätab kuidagi pikema mulje siis :) Igatahes, mulle see meeldib ja täna leidis ka kasutust juba :)

A picture of a skirt or a dress. I chose a skirt as you can see. It is bought from Seppälä though not from the Estonian one. Probably the only thing I have bought from there in a very long time. Usually there aren't any things that I like but when I saw this I just new that I had to get it. I love the floral print :)

DIY: Snakeskin clutch

Finished one of the clutches that I planned to do this week. I got inspiration for Caroline's Mode (pictures are in one of this week's posts). Wasn't very hard. Just a bit a measuring and them sewing :) I don't have a picture tutorial of it but I try to talk through the steps

What do you need:
Some snakeskin
A zipper
Scissors
Sewing machine - you can also use stapler :) Easier way

Step 1:

Measure the snakeskin according to the size of the clutch you desire. Then cut the piece out.

Step 2:

Sew the sides of the snakeskin and leave one side open for the opening.

Step 3:

Now take the zipper and first sew one side of the zipper. Don't forget to sew right side of the zipper and right side of the skin up against. Then do the same with the other side of the zipper.

Step 4: Sew the ends of the zipper so that they would not stick out of the bag.

AND YOU'RE READY!

That's how mine looks :)

Day 8 with an outfit.

So, my most expensive article of clothing. I think that it is my new wool jacket by Tom Tailor. Got it really recently, so I haven't had a chance to wear it and I am waiting for the colder weather. If I start wearing it now, I will probably freeze in the winter :)

I have the same one but black. Couldn't take a picture of mine as it was so dark already when I reached home that even when I turned on all the lamps in the room, it was still too dark. I hate this dark time. Autumn-winter is such a lovely time but the dark part is unbearable.

Post without pictures

Just thought that I would give a brief overview of my day and some future plans. :)

As I planned yesterday, then I visited a fabric store and got some necessary materials for my snake skin bag and also studded bag. Haven't started them yet, but very soon :) I also bought some faux fur and made a really easy vest out of it.

I really like it :) It was soo easy to make and it is just perfect for wearing at school, where is always cold. Mine is just black. Pictures coming soon.

In the weekend I am going to do a photoshoot with one of my best friends. Hopefully we get some good pictures. But the plan is a go only if the weather allows. So fingers crossed :)

Spent some more time at the site called Caroline's Mode. The more I discover this site, the more I start to love it. I find just great ideas from there. I try to go and buy some missing items tomorrow and then probably some new DIYs...not sure if these will be with tutorials or without. Time will show :)

Uurisin veel natuke saiti, kust ennegi inspiratiooni sain. Mida enam aega ma sellel saidil veedan, seda rohkem ma seda armastama hakkan. Saingi veel mõned päris head ideed. Okay, picture of the pants that are not jeans. I chose these O'Neill shorts. They go with so many different styles and are very comfortable. The picture is taken in the summer of 2010 but I still like these pants :)

I also love leggings, those regular black leggings. These always help in the morning if I find nothing to wear :)

Mission completed

As the headline says already, my today's mission is completed. I finished my motivation letter. It feels really good to be done with it. Now I must wait till I get my grades from school and then I can take my papers to a company that helps me to apply to this university. All this should be done by next Friday. After that - just a long period of waiting, but I am positively disposed and won't let myself think for not even a moments that I won't be accepted. This is what I want and I will do anything to get it - for this moments I can probably say that I have done already everything :)
Did some handicraft today - two new pieces, both earrings. I found this nice chain that is a bit thicker, gave me quite some new ideas and I just couldn't wait to make those ideas into reality. So, here they are :)

Nagu pealkirigi juba ütleb, siis tänane missioon on täidetud. Lõpetasin motivatsioonikirja kirjutamise. Ülihea tunne on, et see tehtud on :) Nüüd pean veel ootama kuni saan koolist oma hinnetest koondtabeli ja siis saangi viia paberid firmasse, mis aitab mind mu taotlusega. See kõik peaks olema järgmiseks reedeks tehtud. Pärast seda - väääääga pikk ootamine. Aga ma olen positiivselt meelestatud ja ei lase endal hetkekski kahelda, kas saan sisse või ei. Just seda ma tahan ja just selle nimel olen ma ka valmis tegema kõik - praeguseks hetkeks võib küll juba öelda vist, et olen teinud kõik :)
Tegin täna natuke ka käsitööd. Leidsin ühest e-poest hästi ilusa keti, sellise natuke paksema, aga samas ei jäta odavat muljet. Tekkis nii mitu uut ideed ja kohe kuidagi ei suutnud neid lihtsalt paberile jätta. Nii valmisidki need kahed kõrvarõngad :)

I actually forgot - I have two rings as well that I haven't shown here yet. The first one I made on Thursday and the second one I made today. The second one is for myself, I like this combination of gold and creamy white - makes a piece look really sweet. Plus the creamy part looks like bubbles :)

Day 5

Today I took a picture of my favourite jeans. It was kinda complicated as all the jeans that I have are my favourite since I don't buy any jeans that I don't like or feel uncomfortable in. These are from H&M and I like that they are without any faded spots and as plain as possible.

Yesterday was the first day during my break when I did absolutely no handicraft or at least I didn't create anything new. Most of the day I spend at my grandma's baking and learning one of our family recipes. Later, in the evening I was given a task to repair some old jewelry. It took a lot more time than I expected.
At the beginning of the week I received a small package from one of the online stores with two different colours of polymer clay. First roses are on my table already. I think that these came out pretty well, then I try to turn them into some jewelry today. But the keyword of my day is motivation letter as I must finish writing my motivation letter to the university. Wish me luck :)

Eile oli esimene päev vaheaja jooksul, kus ma ei teinud mitte mingil kujul käsitööd - või vähemalt ei teinud midagi uut. Suurema osa päevast veetsin isapoolse vanaema juures küpsetades, kus õppisin selgeks ühe enda pereretsepti. Õhtu veetsin vanu pärleid kokku sobitades, kuna mulle oli antud ülesandeks teha korda mõned katkised ehted. See võttis oodatust ikka oluliselt rohkem aega.
Nädala alguses sain kätte väikese paki ühest internetipoest, milles oli kahte erinevat värvi FIMO. Esimesed katsetused on juba tehtud ja roosid seisavad laua peal. Enda arvates tulid isegi päris hästi välja, seega üritan veel täna need ehetes ära kasutada. Aga tänane päev ei ole ainult fun, fun, fun. Päeva märksõnaks, kui nii öelda võib, on motivatsioonikiri, kuna täna õhtuks pean ära lõpetama enda motivatsioonikirja, mille ülikooli saadan. Soovige edu :)

Today I had to take a picture of a piece of clothing or jewellery that was a gift. So, I chose this golden locket.

It is kind of a special to me as my mother gave me this for my 18th birthday. And it goes with a golden necklace that my father gave when I was born. So this is important to me. That's why I don't wear it usually as I'm afraid to lose it. These two pieces are a great value to me :)

DIY: Lace bracelet

I managed to do another DIY project as well. I don't even know where I got this idea but I remember trying to wear lace around my wrist before. It was kind of a failure as the lace got twisted and stuck everywhere and it lost its colour after wearing it just once. As a result, I decided to combine it with leather. So, lets go to the DIY itself :)

Jõudsin teha teise DIY projekti ka valmis. Seda kahjuks ei mäleta, kust idee tuli, aga seda mäletan küll, et olen üritan pitsist varemgi käevõrusid teha. Aga siis kasutasin ainult pitsi. Nagu arvata võib, siis ei olnud se eriti edukas, sest pits läks kiiresti koledaks ja ei hoidnud käe ümber eriti hästi. Niisiis otsustasin kombineerida seda nahaga.

What do you need for this project:

1. Leather - I used fake one of course
2. Lace ribbon
3. Hook-and-loop fastener
4. Scissors
5. Glue

1. Nahk - mina kasutasin kunstnahka
2. Pitspael
3. Takjapael
4. Käärid
5. Kiirliim (SuperAttak)

STEP 1:

Measure your wrist and add twice the width of the fastener. Then measure the leather according to your wrist and the additional length for the fastener.

Mõõda enda randme ümbermõõt ning lisa sellel kahekordne takjapaela laius. Seejärel kanna mõõdud nahale.

STEP 2:

Place the lace ribbon onto the leather and based on the width of the lace, decide the width of the bracelet.

Aseta pitspael nahale ja vastavalt pitspaela laiusele, vali sobiv laius käevõrule.

STEP 3:

Cut out the piece of leather. Now start gluing the lace to the leather.

Lõika nahast välja käevõru alus. Seejärel alusta liimimisega.

STEP 4:

Glue all the way around, so that the edges of lace would be stuck to the leather. Then, cut the end of the lace. I decided to crop the leather a bit.

Liimi kõik pitsi ääred kinni ning kontrolli, et kuskilt lahti poleks. Seejärel lõika üleliigne pits ära. Mina lõikasin ka nahka natuke, et naha äär jookseks paralleelselt pitsiga.

STEP 5:

Now, take the fastener and cut the necessary piece. It would be perfect if the ends would be the same length.

Võta takjapael ja lõika sellest vajalik tükk kinnituseks. Hea oleks, kui käevõru otsad oleks sama laiad, nii ei jää kinnitus hiljem häirima.

STEP 6:

Glue one side of the fastener on top of the lace and the other behind the leather. So that when you turn the bracelet into a roll, the fastener would stick together.

Liimi üks takjapaela pool pitsi peale, teine pool naha pahemale poole. Kui käevõru rulli keerad, siis takjapaela pooled kinnituvad. Ja valmis ongi :)

And ready you are!

Here's the result:

So, it took me about 15 minutes to make it + the time for the glue to dry. I think that it is easy yet nifty accessory. I hope that you enjoy it :)

DIY: Lace embellished shirt

Lace has always been one of my favourite fabrics but as it has come so popular, then stores are full of clothing with lace. Unfortunately, I haven't found the right piece of clothing with lace. The one that I would really adore. Usually the colours are off or the lace is just too simple. So, I decided to make my own lace embellished shirt and share the process with you :)

Mulle on alati pits meeldinud. See on kuidagi nii õrn ja romantiline. Kuna pitsdetailidega riided on väga populaarseks saanud, siis on poed selliseid riideid täis. Aga ma pole just seda tüüpi, kes kannaks kõike, mida teised kannavad ja nii pole ka poest leidnud just seda õiget pitsiga riietuseset. Niisiis otsustasin selle ise teha ja tööprotsessi teiega jagada :)

What do you need for this project:

1. Shirt or a blouse that you want to decorate
2. Lace - I used a lace ribbon
3. Glue ribbon - I don't know the term in English. if you don't have it, then you can use just regular SuperAttak or if you want to, then you can also hand stitch it.
4. Scissors
5. Pins

1. Pluusi, mida soovid kaunistada
2. Pitsi - mina kasutasin pitspaela
3. Liimipaela - kui seda pole, võid kasutada ka tavalist kiirliimi või kui soovid, siis võid selle ka käsitsi kinni õmmelda. Õmblusmasinat ei soovita kasutada, sest nii võid kahjustada pitsi.
4. Kääre
5. Nööpnõelu

STEP 1:

Find the center of the lace ribbon and attach it to the center of your sleeve. Then the lace will reach both sides evenly.

Mõõda pitspaela keskkoht ning pane see kohakuti õlaõmblusega. Nii ulatub pits mõlemale poole võrdselt.

STEP 2:

Measure the glue ribbon. You need to glue all the sides so measure a piece for every side. If you don't have glue ribbon, you can use glue or hand stitch it.

Mõõda liimipaelast sobivad ribad. Kuna kinnitada tuleb kõik ääred, siis mõõda iga ääre jaoks piisavalt pikk liimiriba.

STEP 3:

Pin the lace to the shirt. If necessary, crop the lace. Don't forget to put the glue ribbon between the shirt and lace.

Kinnita pits nööpnõeltega pluusi külge. Ära unusta panna liimipaela pitsi ja pluusi vahele.

STEP 4:

Pin the lace to the shirt all the way around. When you reach the neckline, cut the lace if necessary. I cut the front edge to end at the neckline and did some adjustments to the back edge of the lace to end more smoothly.

Kinnita kogu pitsi äär pluusile. Kui jõuad kaeluseni, lõika vajadusel pitsi. Mina lõikasin pitsi esimest äärt nii, et see lõppeks kaeluse juures ning tagumist äärt lõikasin ümaramaks, et lõpp ei oleks liiga järsk.

Lace after some adjustments.

STEP 5:

Now iron the edges of the lace till the glue ribbon has melted and the lace is stuck to the shirt. You can leave the pins in until you have ironed all the way around or you can remove them one by one during the ironing but don't take all out before the ironing or the lace might shift.

Nüüd triigi pitsiääred üle kuni liimipael on sulanud ning pitsi pluusi külge liiminud. Nööpnõelad võid triikimise ajaks sisse jätta või ükshaaval triikimise ajal eemaldada. Kõiki korraga ära enne triikimist eemalda, sest nii võib pits paigast nihkuda.

STEP 6:

Now repeat all this on the other sleeve.

Korda nüüd kõiki samme teisel varrukal.

And you're finished!

Hei!

So, continuing my challenge. The second task was to take a picture of my favourite shirt. Well, this was kinda hard to do as I had to choose the one :) I think that the favourite one since this summer has been this champagne coloured shirt with a wide neckline from Stradivarius. It was just perfect for the hot summer days as it was loose and light coloured.

Let the challenge begin!

So, as I promised, I will start this challenge today. First task was to take a picture of my closet. So, here it is:

This is the main part of the closet. Actually it is twice this big. Behind the left door there are all kind of accessories like bags, scarves, hats and gloves. The part behind the right door is used for storing the towels and bedclothes.
So, this is it :) Another task tomorrow. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Tomorrow I will post a DIY project with tutorial...maybe even TWO as I got some necessary materials today and I will probably have time for more than one project :)

Autumn colours

Hei!

Today I can show you these earrings in autumn colour - brown of course. But these didn't remind me of autumn at the first place, instead these reminded me of Indians and those Indian warriors with colourful feathers and all their clothes made of leather. That's the vibe I got :)

Täna näitan siis sügistoonides kõrvarõngaid. Tegelikult esimese asjana need ei meenutanudki sügist, vaid hoopis indiaanlasi. Meenusid indiaanisõdalased värviliste sulgedega ja pruunide naturaalsete nahkriietega.

Olen nüüd õmblemisega nii kaugel, et ülehomme peaks tulema järgmine DIY postitus. Homme on kahjuks väga kiire, aga ülehomme on terve päev plaanideta ning siis on just hea tegeleda käsitööga. Leidsin ühest hästi toredast blogist (inglisekeelses tekstis on link kah) huvitava nö väljakutse, kus pean 30 päeva jooksul tegema erinevates asjadest pildi. Mõtlesin, et võtan ka väljakutse vastu. Eks näeb, mis sellest tuleb.

DIY: shirt with a wide neckline

Hei!

So, yesterday I spent in several fabric stores. As a result, I ended up with seven different fabrics, some beads and feathers - so there will be coming some jewellery and clothing soon. When I got home at 4 o'clock, I knew that I had to do something out of this fabric that I bought. So after dinner I opened all the bags and the first fabric that so to say spoke to me was this dark blue one with stripes and I instatnly knew what I would make out of it. So, here's the result:

Nagu plaanitud, käisin eile mööda kangapoode ja päeva lõpuks olin saanud 7 erinevat kangast, natuke pärleid ja mõned suled. Seega on tulemas nii mõndagi uut lähiajal. Õhtul koju jõudes ei suutnud kuidagi kangaid puutumata jätta ja otsustasin teha tumesinisest triibulisest kangast õlgu paljastava pluusi. Hästi lihtne teha ja umbes 1,5 tunniga valmis (seda seetõttu, et mulle meeldib kõik õmblused korralikult teha ja ei jäta ühtegi äärt ära keeramata). Igatahes, siin on siis tulemus:

Hei!

I was just looking through a bunch of pictures in my computer when I discovered this:

I completely forgot to show this here when I made it. It was my school project in British Literature. We had to do a creative task to reflect our week and the topics covered during this week. As the main theme was science fiction, then I decided to make this necklace. The crocheted part of the piece with colourful beads represent the science fiction and fantasy part. The big glass bead behind it represents the real world and the chains between those two represent the connections between reality and fantasy and show how much these depend on each other.
I thought it would be interesting to show it as it was the first piece that I had to do for a special occasion.

Mõtlesin, et näitan ühte varasemat tööd, mille täiesti ära olin unustanud ja tänu piltide sorteeerimisele üles leidsin. Töö on tehtud Briti kirjanduse kodutööna. Õpetaja andis ülesandeks teha loovtöö, mis peegeldaks meie nädala teemat. Kuna nädala teemaks oli fantaasia ja ulmekirjandus, siis tegin sellise natuke teistsuguse kaelaehte. Esimene osa on heegeldatud ja sisse pandud erinevaid värvilisi pärle. See esindab fantaasiat. Taga on suur klaaspärl, mis esindab reaalsust ning neid ühendavad ketid, mis ongi siis märgiks, et need kaks on tihedalt omavahel seotud.
See oli esimene töö siis, mille tegin kindlast teemast lähtudes.

Hei!

It's official - school break, finally! Anyways, as I promised you, few more pieces of jewellery :) Probably more coming soon as I feel that I really want to do handicraft. Haven't felt like that for quite some time. I also plan to finally start the DIY project that I wanted to do first. But I discovered that I didn't have any shirts that would have fit for the project. So I am going to buy some fabric tomorrow. I have also many new ideas, so I won't leave the shop with just one piece of fabric probably :)

Lõpuks on vaheaeg alanud. Niisiis on nüüd jälle rohkem aega käsitööga tegelenud. Tahtmine ja isu on ka lõpuks tagasi tulnud. Üritan lähiajal teha ka algselt plaanitud DIY projekti, milleks oli pluusile pitsi ja pärleid natuke. Miks see üldse siiani tulemata on jäänud, on täitsa seletatav. Nimelt ei suutnud leida kapist enam ühtegi pluusi, mis selleks sobib. Lähen siis homme poodi ja ostan kohe rohkem kangast, et õmmelda, kuna ideid on kindlasti rohkemaks kui selle ühe pluusi jaoks. Igatahes, ehted, mida eelmises postituses lubasin.

DIY: Bow Necklace

Hei!

First, I want to tell everybody that I've decided to write my blog in English from now on as recently more and more foreign people have started to "read" my blog. So I thought that it would be more interesting for them to actually read my blog instead of just looking at the pictures.

Anyways, at the beginning of the week I promised you the first DIY. I already showed you the design, but I changed my mind. I will complete this DIY that I promised but I am going to start with a very easy, yet beautiful necklace.

What do you need for this DIY:

1. Cutting pliers

2. Grippers to open and close the wire hoops

3. Regular scissors to cut the ribbon

4. Transparent glue

5. Chain

6. Ribbon

7. Two wire hoops

8. Fastener

Step 1:

Take the ribbon (it can be any colour and any
width, depends on your wishes) and make a bow.
Adjust the size of the eyelets.

Step 2:

Cut the ends and use transparent glue or nail polish
to ensure that the ends won't start to diverge.

Step 3:

Measure the chain.

Step 4:

Open the wire hoops using the grippers.

Step 5:

Attach the fastener to one of the wire hoops.

Step 6:

Attach the chain to the wire hoops and close the
hoops tightly using the grippers.

Step 7:

Take the bow and the chain. Put some glue on the
bow and place the chain. Press the bow and chain
together and hold for some time so that the bow
and chain would stick together. Leave the glue
to try for 10-15 minutes.

And voila! You have a brand new handmade necklace!

It is really simple and takes about 5-10 minutes to make + 10-15 minutes for the glue to dry. You can use absolutely any kind of ribbon and chain.

So, here was my first DIY. If you have used this as the tutorial and have made your own necklace then don't hesitate to send me your picture :)

Sügisõhtu...

Nii märkamatult ongi juba oktoober kätte jõudnud. Natuke veel ja ongi juba sügisvaheaeg. Ei jõua ära oodata :) Mis ma siis vahepeal teinud olengi? Peaaegu terve eelmise nädala veetsin Taanis - nimelt käisin seal ülikoole külastamas ja valimas. Esmalt olin siis Aarhusis ja külastasin Business Academy Aarhusi, mis jättis lihtsalt super mulje, täpselt see kool, mida otsinud olen. Teisena külastasin Roskilde ülikooli. Linn on armas, kool on palju väiksem, aga see-eest oluliselt rahvusvahelisem. Aga millegipärast ei tundunud see nii kodune. Eks ma olen ikka harjunud suurema linnaga ja rohkema rahvaga :)
Igatahes, see oli ka siis põhjus, miks ma varem ei postitanud - ettevalmistused reisiks võtsid oma aja. Nüüd aga peaks jälle rohkem vaba aega tekkima ja tundub, et inspiratsioon hakkab ka jälle ligi hiilima. Lähiajal üritan teha esimese DIY ka.

Üritan projektiga selle nädala jooksul algust teha ja nädala lõpuks selle ka lõpetada :) Kui kellelgi on mõni idee, mida võiks teha ja ka teistele samm-sammu haaval õpetada, andke aga teada.

Loodetavasti on uus nädal kõigil hästi alanud. Olen viimasel ajal üsna palju mõelnud oma blogi peale ja mõtlesin, et võiks selle veidi üldisemaks muuta. Pole juba mõnda aega siia midagi kirjutanud. Eks kool ja ilus ilm teevad oma töö. Käsitööd siiski päris nurka pole visanud, lihtsalt pole jõudnud asju pildistada. Aga näitan teile ühte uut käeketti ja paari tellimustööd.

Käekett "Charming"

Hõbedane kett, must atlasspael, hõbedased metall- ja akrüülripatsid ning hõbedased ehteosad.

Üheks tellimustööks on sarnane põimitud käekett nagu eelmine. Sellele on ripatsid veel külge panemata, sest omanik pole veel otsustanud :) Loodetavasti saan ka seda pilti näidata varsti, kus käeketil on ka ripatsid küljes.

Teiseks tellimustööks on üks lihtne komplekt käeketist ja kõrvarõngastest. Tegumoelt väga lihtne, aga minu arvates peitub lihtsuses ilu. Omanik jäi ise väga rahule :)

Inspiratsioon

Hei!

Mõtlesin, et teen ühe EHETETA postituse. Või noh, vähemalt enda tehtud eheteta ja näitan hoopis seda, kust leian oma inspiratsiooni.
Inspiratsioon tuleb minu puhul ustest, akendest ja pressib põrandalaudade vaheltki sisse. Palju mõtteid tuleb kindlasti lihtsalt helmeid vaadates ja käes veeratades, vahel tuleb mõni idee sõbrannade outfit'e silmitsedes. Eks mood ongi suures osas inspiratsiooniks ju ja igat komplekti vaadates mõtlen, et millised ehted ma selle juurde teeks või ümber teeks. Päris palju inspiratsiooni pakub ka näiteks loodus. Kuna mulle meeldib tegeleda ka fotograafiaga, siis tihti leian imelisi värvide kombinatsioone just loodusest. Nii imelik, kui see ka poleks, seda inspiratsiooni leidub tõesti kõikjal - pole väga ebatavaline, kui avastan keset pasta tegemist, et mingid värvid mängivad koos superhästi või mustrid on lausa vapustavad. Ma võin südamest öelda, et minu ideid ja nende allikaid on määramatult palju ja seda kindlasti osaliselt juba sellepärast, et ma ei ole jäänud pidama mingi kindla stiili juurde. Mulle tohutult meeldib katsetada ja leida erinevaid viise enda ideede teostamiseks.
Igatahes, just nii leian mina oma ideed.

Mõtlesin, et panen jälle mõned pildid uutest ehetest üles. Päris palju olen neid teinud küll, aga mitte kuidagi ei ole leidnud viitsimist nendest pilte teha. Õnneks võtsin ennast kätte ja siin nad siis on.

Kõrvarõngad "Golden Luxury"

Kasutasin kuldseid ehteosi ja vahetükke, valgeid klaashelmeid ja käsitööhelmeid, pruune klaaspärleid ja klaashelmeid.

Kõrvarõngad "Fun at the Sea"

Kasutasin hõbedasi metallimitatsiooniga ripatseid, valgeid, punaseid ja tumesiniseid klaashelmeid, hõbedasi ehteosi ning tumesinist atlasspaela.

Kõrvarõngad "Take a Bow"

Kuldne kett, kuldsed lipsud ja kuldsed kõrvarõngahaagid. Ehk siis rohkelt kulda.

Hõbedane eelpainutatud traat, valged ja tumesinised seemnehelmed, hõbedased ehteosad ja tumesinised atlasspaelast lipsud.

Sõrmused

Proovisin siis esimest korda teha ka sõrmuseid, tulid täitsa ilusad välja isegi, natuke liiga suured helmed küll valisin, sest ise nii suuri ikkagi ei kanna. Aga tulemuste põhjal võib öelda, et proovin kindlasti veel :D

Käekett "Italian Grapes"

Hõbedane kett, hõbedased ehteosad ja ripatsid, klaashelmed ja käsitööhelmed.

Nii, sellised need ehted siis on. Kui mõni ehe eriliselt meeldib, siis kirjuta julgelt. Samuti võid pakkuda oma ideid, millest kahepeale saaks kokku just sellise ehte nagu sina tahad.

Tsaukiii!!

Üle pika aja jälle siin. Tõeliselt kiire on olnud viimasel ajal ja ehete tegemine on natuke unarusse jäänud. Nüüd, kui vaheaeg on, siis jälle rohkem ehete lainel ja saan näidata oma uusi pärleid.

Kõrvarõngad "Valentine's Day"

Hõbeda ja punasega kõrvarõngad. Kasutasin klaashelmeid ja hõbedasi ehteosi.

Kõrvarõngad "Girl with a Pearl Earring"

Valged pärlid, Bali hõbedast helmekübarad ja hõbedased ehteosad - lihtsalt, aga elegantsed kõrvarõngad.

Kõrvarõngad "Black Mystery"

Mustad plastikhelmed ja kuldsed ehteosad.

Kõrvarõngad "Golden Rain"

Väga elegantsed ja pilkupüüdvad kõrvarõngad - kuldsed ja antiikkuldsed ehteosad, valged pärlid ja klaashelmed.

Kõrvarõngad "Honey Drop"

Valged pärlid, oranžikad klaashelmed ja kuldsed ehteosad.

Seekord siis sellised kõrvarõngad. Nagu näha, siis olen oluliselt rohkem hakanud kasutama kuldseid ehteosi ja seda vist sellepärast, et sain jõuluks väga suure hulga pärleid. Suurepärane jõulukink oli (A)

Uued pärlikesed

Kohe kuidagi ei kannatanud nädalavahetuseni ja otsustasin, et näitan juba praegu neid töid, mis täiesti valmis on :D Tavaliselt teen ehteid nii, et tuleb idee ja siis otsin helmed ja vajalikud tarvikud. Seekord tegin hoopis teistpidi- kõigepealt otsisin mõne ilusa helme ja siis hakkasin sellele kaaslasi otsima. Aga igatahes, sellised nad tulid :)

Kõrvarõngad "Strawberries"

Jätkan siis pärlimummude lainel :D Seekord hoopis punased. Sisu on puidust, seemnehelmed klaasist ja ülejäänud osad hõbedane metall.

Kõrvarõngad "Hepaticas"

Nende piklike käsitööhelmeste juurde oli tõeliselt raske midagi sobitada ja nii nad seisidki mul üle 6 kuu karbis. Kuna lihtsuses peitub võlu, siis lisasin hõbedased lilled ja nii saidki need sinililled valmis. Nagu juba öeldud, siis käsitööhelmed ja hõbedased metallosad.

Käevõru "Majesty"

Lõpuks leidsin ideid ka käevõrude jaoks. See on siis tehtud eelpainutatud traadile, et see ikka oma kuju säilitaks. Kaks "rida" sellepärast, et lilladel helmestel on ei rohkem ega vähem kui kaks auku. Kuna ei tahtnud seda käevõru liiga lillaks-roosaks ajada, siis tuli lillale seltsiks must ja hõbe. Seega, mustad klaashelmed, hõbedased plastikhelmed ja erinevad hõbedased ehteosad. Käevõru on keti abil reguleeritav ja seega on pikkus 17 - 21 cm.

Käevõru "Solar Eclipse"

Täitsa lihtne käevõru - puhas traadiväänamine ainult :D Kasutasin jällegi musti klaashelmeid ja metallhelmeid ning hõbedasi ehteosi. Kuna metallhelmed meenutavad päikest ja must on justkui varjutus, siis tuligi nimeks päikesevarjutus. Seegi käevõru on reguleeritav ja pikkus seega 17,5 - 20 cm.

Ripats "Stained Glass"

Lõpetuseks siis selline minu kohta parajalt värviline ripats. See ongi üks nendest töödest, mille tegemine sai alguse helmest (see suur värviline käsitööhelmes), mitte ideest. Kasutasin käsitööhelmest, klaashelmeid, hõbedast ketti ja ehteosi. Ripatsiga tuleb kaasa ka kett, mille otsa seda riputada. Ripatsi enda pikkus on 16 cm.

Niisiis, sain oma ehted ära näidatud ja nüüd kannatan nädalavahetuseni, et järgmisi näidata.

Midagi uut jälle!

Nii, vahepeal on siis jälle uued ehted valminud :D Kahjuks pole aega palju korraga teha, aga natuke iga päev ikka. Siin nad siis on:

Kõrvarõngad "Raspberries"

Nende kõrvarõngastega käib kaasas oma lugu. Nimelt olen juba pikka aega imetlenud mõningate andekate ehtemeistrite blogides pärlimumme ehk pärleid, mille peale on meisterdatud seemnehelmestest uus nö kate. Küll uurisin ja puurisin neid pilte blogides ja mõtlesin korduvalt, et võiks isegi üritada, aga mitte kuskilt ei leidnud seda viitsimist millegi uue katsetamiseks. Nädala alguses siis otsustasin, et saagu, mis saab, aga ära ma ta proovin. Abi sain blogist "Pisarapärlid". Nagu alati, siis esimene vasikas läheb aia taha. Minul läksid ka teine ja kolmas ja neljaski. Viies juba enamvähem õnnestus. Kuuendast ja seitsmendast sündisid siis minu esimesed pärlimummudest kõrvarõngad. Aluspärliks kasutasin 1,5 cm läbimõõduga puidust pärlit, mille peale "punusin" tamiili abiga lillad seemnehelmed. Kaunistuseks läksid hõbedased ehteosad ja kõrva riputamiseks hõbedased kõrvarõngakonksud.

Kõrvarõngad "Sweet Angels"

Kõrvarõngaste tegemiseks kasutasin plastikpärleid, klaashelmeid, Tiibeti hõbedast tiibu ja hõbedasi ehteosi.

Kõrvarõngad "Apples"

Kõrvarõngad on tehtud hõbedastest õunaripatsitest, klaashelmestest ja hõbedastest ehteosadest.

Kõrvarõngad "A Dot of Blue in Brown"

Kasutasin klaashelmeid ja hõbedasi ehteosi.

Praegu näitan siis neid kõrvarõngaid, küll aga luban, et peagi juba uued, sest poolikuid töid on mitu ja ideedest õnneks puudust ei ole :D

Tegelikult lisandub nendele veel kaks käevõru, mis jõudsin teha. Aga kuna need läksid kingiks, siis siia neid näitamiseks üles ei riputa.

Selline jutt ka veel, et kui sul on oma idee, aga pole vahendeid või oskusi selle teostamiseks, siis võid alati minu poole pöörduda. Aitan parima meelega.

Sain siis valmis kolm paari uusi kõrvarõngaid, Ei teagi miks, aga praegu olen täielikult kõrvarõngaste lainetel. Üritasin küll teha ka käeketti ja ühe ripatsiga alustasin, aga no ei õnnestu kohe kuidagi. Igatahes, kõrvarõngad valmis :D

Seemnehelmed, hõbedane kett ja hõbedased ehteosad. Need kõrvarõngad valmisid tellimustööna ja ripuvad juba uue omaniku kõrvas.

Sügavsinised seemnehelmed, kuldsed traadid ja kuldsed helmeosad.

Nüüd üritan alustatud tööd lõpuni viia ja vahelduseks kõrvarõngastele midagi muud ka teha.
